>Still, the technical content of VBPJ is at or near the top... Right there on the cover is stuff on the Active Directory. How long do you think it will be before you see stuff like that in Fox journals.

I totally agree, and wonder why this is. (I also subscribe to and read VBPJ). VBPJ seems much more oriented towards Windows issues and the latest MS technologies. For this reason, I am much more likely to curl up with a VBPJ (or IMND, also an excellent rag) than I am with a FPA or Foxtalk. FPA has some useful stuff every once in a while, but seems about 6 months beind what the rest of the world is doing. (Foxtalk is a little better, but not nearly enough bang for the buck, IMHO).

I know you have written for both mags, do you have any insight on why this is? Are more technical, windows oriented articles not submitted, or do the publishers like to keep it basic? I can't remember the last time an FPA had something that actually interested me (or was useful), but VBPJ and MIND get me excited every time.

For anyone else reading this- even if you don't use any other tool besides VFP, you should be reading VBPJ and MIND. The Fox publications out there are much too focused on Fox specific issues, and by reading just them, you are sure to fall behind.

>Most likely, you will see it in FoxTalk first...

We'll see. Maybe I'll put my writer's cap on... :-)
