Hello Aaron,

I wouldn't presume to tell you what to do. It sounds like you have a good handle on what to do anyway. If you're going with SQL Server for your back-end data server, you might want to checkout the Microsoft Data Engine for your modeling phase. If you haven't seen it, it's basically a limited version of SQL Server. You could set up your data the same way you would with SQL Server and write most of the VFP code you need to model your system before committing to any final design solutions and before shelling out the bucks for a copy SQL Server. I've seen it mentioned here on the UT but haven't had any personal experience with it.
