Your printer needs to understand the pge length - it's overwhelmingly likely that the spool stream is terminated with a form feed character. You might try sending a raw print stream rather than using a tool like VFP's Report Writer, to avoid any confusion caused by the two spooling layers involved now - the one on your local system, and the one managed by Novell.
