My point was that using remote views in a middle tier object is no different than using them in the UI. The difference is, as you said, when you want to pass the data. See my message to John on that issue.

There are several aspects to a business objects... sometimes there is no need to pass data, the method process data and returns a single result or a .t. or .f. In this case, why add the overhead of COM and ODBC (Read ADO)?

Remember, use the Screwdriver for the screw, and the Hammer for the nail.

Also, there are several methods for passing data also, it depends on the system I was working on as to which I would use.
