The hospital management has been irked with FOX Database's vulnerability into corruption no matter how good the LAN is. The FOX file is not secured for system hackers. Long term, going to SQL Server is pretty safe on our side and on the hospital side.
As with going to VB or VFP, well, the issue I want to hear and clarify from experts is maximizing the product's strong points and not merely on convenience on our part because if that's the issue why are we going to C/S? We would rather stick with File Server mechanism.
We just don't want to repeat the error we did before, wherein we revised codings on almost every module.
As I understand on all the post I read, doing C/S requires much hard work to be exerted. It's not easy as I expect it to be. It's 4X harder than monolythic applications. Or I just over exaggerated??
