Nothing to apologize for - the question was "What is it?" rather than "What can I use that's an alternative to it?"
If I'd been approached to make modifications to SBT, it wouldn't help to know there are a gazillion alternative to it....I'd need to know what it was before suggesting that I'd rather write a whole accounting system in < gasp > VB than have to modify SBT code! ;-)
(FWIW, we dumped SBT at Weatherhill when faced with the prospect of having to port all our mods to a Y2K compliant version from scratch...)
