Boy, that opens a can of worms, especially with the recent threads *g*. I haven't worked with Delphi, but my reasons for liking VFP:
1. Very, very fast
2. Data-centric
3. Object-oriented
4. Handles the user-interface tier, business objects tier, and data tier in a n-tier environment, all in one package
5. Did I mention fast?
