I can't answer the Delphi question, as I haven't used it. But I did forget to mention two other important points:
6. Great 3rd-Party tool support: West Wind Web Connction, Stonefield products, xCase, Visual MaxFrame, Visual FoxExpress, yadda, yadda, yadda
7. No brick wall. There always seems to be a way to accomplish what you want to do in VFP, usually in a couple of different ways. It's nice that when a client asks if you can do something, you can say, "No problem."
Do you work with Delphi?
>Great answers, but what can be said in relation to and in favor of Delphi?

>>Boy, that opens a can of worms, especially with the recent threads *g*. I haven't worked with Delphi, but my reasons for liking VFP:
>>
>>1. Very, very fast
>>2. Data-centric
>>3. Object-oriented
>>4. Handles the user-interface tier, business objects tier, and data tier in a n-tier environment, all in one package
>>5. Did I mention fast?
>>
>>>Can anyone tell me what the main points are for VFP as opposed to Delphi and what it does right?
>>>
>>>TIA
