I've got an application that is quite stable and has NO user interface when run with the appropriate command line arguments. We are currently running this app via the NT 4.0 AT command. One problem we encountered with using the AT command is the need to leave a user logged on to the Server locally with appropriate rights. We lock the workstation, but still need to leave the user logged in locally. The app makes use of FileSystemObjects and the NetworkObjects to talk to remote servers.

We are considering changing this to run in a more automated fashion, regardless of whether a user is logged on locally to the machine. My thoughts were to maybe run the application as an NT service. I have no idea if this can be done though. Any one have any experience with this or any other ideas on how we could be handling this differently?
