Is this a data centric application? If so, file server based, client/server, do you have Visual dBase applications that must run on the same machine?

What's your background? Do you know Delphi, VFP, FoxPro, Pascal?

Do you have to integrate various ActiveX controls into the application?

Is this a complete new application, or are you rewriting/replacing an existing one?

Must this application co-operate with others? If yes, in which way?

How important are ease of maintainance, speed of data access, speed of processing strings, native code generation, etc.?

What are the available resources in your company? Are multiple persons working on the project, and what tools do they know?
