Hello!

I'm trying to set up a VFP app which uses the Internet Transfer Control (ITC) by Microsoft. At first glance, it seems simple enough, but after digging through the documentation and trying out the control, I have only had success with text files retrieved into a text box -- no success for binary files or text files coming across as a file to disk.

What I'd like to create is an environment in which the ITC downloads a file and during such action allows the user 1) to cancel the operation, 2) to see the progress of downloading (e.g. progress bar showing amount of total bytes to be downloaded), and 3) allow the rest of the program to continue its normal operation (non-Internet).

Can anyone shed some light on this matter or tell me of another resource to find answers? Perhaps this isn't a good enough or flexible enough control; perhaps I need to purchase a third-party or find a freeware control which helps me accomplish the above.

Any assistance provided would be greatly appreciated!

Sincerely,

Mark W. Mitchell
