Are SQL Server (including Oracle/DB2), MTS, COM, and interfacing data to the internet really "programming languages"???

I also seem to see a few of those in Walter's list too. Are we arguing just for the sake of it here? (following in the footstep of the illuminated one).

I've always been interested in data management and networks. The Internet is really just a big network (and the only truly successful distributed database BTW and the back end "big iron" stuff will sort itself out I'd imagine.
