Does any one know how to pick a particular record (The highlighted record) from a combo box whose list is generated from a field in a table. I reference the value of the combo box in a query that looks for the highlighted record in the same field name of different table.

varnam=thisform.combo1.displayvalue displays all records of that field not just the highlighted record.
