As long as your network functions properly, you may just open database on server the same way you open it on your local computer, i.e. USE ... You may check what operations you should do on network level to get connected to another server.
Anyway, it's absolutely not about remote views.

>I have a VFP Database in BUILDING A SERVER and I am trying to access it from BUILDING B. I don't have the data in my local computer and I need to specify where the server is, the user id and password to connect. Is this something I can do using Remote Views?

>>Your usage of Remote View clearly indicates that your front-end is written in VFP. This case, it's inefficient to use remote view against native VFP data. If you want to use a view, use local one.

>>>OK, I understand that part, the question is:
>>>How do I access my VFP data using a remote view if I have it in my NT server, not in my local computer?
>>>
>>>In the article q137944 looks like they are getting the data from a SQL server.
>>>Maybe I am misunderstanding the concept of Remote Views.
>>>Thank you again.
