Seriously, the guy is looking for a functional spec of some sort, a feature list if you will... While his terminology may be a bit confused, in all likelihood, that is what he was asking for. A legit request I think.

Unless of course, he thought you already had a POS system that was in production that he wanted to modify... Then it sounds like a communication breakdown...
