I've got a custom container which holds a grid. Both are based on the respective objects from the FFC _base class library.
Rather than do all the design work for the grid by hand, I right clicked on the grid and chose builder. I've done this many times as a way of quickly getting the basics of the grid ready for my custom code.
Before I choose Builder, I already have a view open. The view does a join and filters the results based on a public variable. The view opens fine from a command line with the correct records based on the public variable.
When the grid builder opens, it automatically closes the view and any other table open. Then when I choose the view from the builders list of tables/views, I see the fields in a pick list, just as I would expect. However, when I go to the Layout tab to adjust the column widths and captions, the builder won't let me stating that there are no records available. I choose Ok in the builder, return to the class designer and I see the view is open with the correct number of records in it.
It's not that big a deal for me to design this by hand, I just like using the grid builder to save me time up front. Any thoughts?
