You do *not* mention views here, so this probably does not apply, but just in case. . .

I have read here that VIEWs stop working correctly when an underlying table structure is changed. Something needs to be done to cause the VIEW to be re-created.

This form has been working fine for a couple of months now, but has recently begun opening with the record pointer on EOF. I have put code here and there to move the record pointer to the top or to whatever record, but as this is a pretty complex form, this workaround code is becoming cumbersome, as the problem repeats itself when switching back and forth between pages on the form. I do not perform any seeks before painting the form, and all the views based on the table have nodataonload set to .T.. I have made small structure changes to the table here and there, and the bug could have begun after any one of these, but it is impossible for me to trace. What could I have done to cause this behavior?
