Thanks for the suggestion.

The programmer at tech support for this product apologized for the documention not indicating which code was for the 16bit and which for the 32bit application.

They require very different code - apparently.
I spent much time messing with the 16bit documention before learning that it was not appropriate.

The 32bit version - according to the Tech Support requires:

errormsg=ABC.InitializeDLL(where ABC is the object ID)

Ed says: "oHPA32N=CreateObj('Hpa32n.dllClass')
errormsg=oHPA32N.InitializeDLL()" will work - and it does. That is I don't get any errors.

I had misspelled "CreatOBJ" - sorry ED.

But now how to pass the parms?
