I'm using a vanilla MSComm control added to a vanilla Container class. The MSComm control was added using the OleControl container inside the Class Designer. Inside the the OnComm event I call This.Parent.OnOnComm(lnCommEvent) which "processes" the event inside my Container object. I drop this Container onto a form and call its methods to retrieve data passed to the serial port.
