Your best bet would be to purchase a third-party email product like IDSMail that is known to work with GroupWise. Mabry is another vendor whose ActiveX control that supports GroupWise's email.

You can try to use the MAPI ActiveX automation interface; you can find sample code in the UT FAQ and Files sections showing how to do this.
