Hello All,

I have a situation where I need to access current information on several Windows NT Servers that is currently installed in the associated Event Logs from each machine. I've basically created a procedure that will import the delimited text data coming from these machines into a DBF so I can work with the data, but it becomes a manual process of launching the Event Viewer and processing a File | SaveAs to save to the text file before running the procedure.

I haven't worked with the DDE much, but am wondering if there's a way to use DDE to lauch the event viewer, and complete this step within my function.

I can't find any decent reference material on DDE out there for VFP (I'm using 5.0).

Any help, or does anyone have a better idea??
