>I'm in the process of rewriting an old legacy program. The users are use to using the ENTER key to advance to the next field. I'd like to mimic this behavior if possible. any suggestions?
Alan, I typically set the Tab Stop property to false for command buttons (with occasional exceptions). This eliminates the possibility of one Enter placing you on a command button and another executing the command button.
Watch out for check boxes. I don't think there is any way for Enter to work the same as Tab on a check box.
FWIW, I set the tab stop on my memo boxes to false also. I don't like the way all of the text gets highlighted when I tab into a memo box. (Vunerable to inadvertant deletes.) This problem may be an aspect of my framework.
