Hi all

I've recently been asked a question regarding the performance of VFP versus other software. We are processing about 300,000 transactions of data each month (approx 80mb) on a dual Pentium III processor with a SCSI hard drive and about 500mb of RAM.

I prefer to use VFP6 as I believe that (in terms of PC applications) it is probably the quickest around - but would like to find out what else there is, and how VFP6 compares.

Can anyone else shed some light on this.

PS Does anyone know how I can change the "Fox" icon to my own application icon on the desktop when users install my applications using the "SETUP.EXE" file? I have been changing it manually...
