Hello!

I need some expert advice. Recently someone made a statement that I have never heard before and seriously doubt the validity of.

They said that too many indexes on a table may actually SLOW down a SELECT. I do understand how a tag on DELETED() may effect a SELECT but not having too many indexes. Has anyone EVER heard this before and is there any truth to this statement??

And if so how many indexes are considered EXCESSIVE. I have a application with the master table containing maybe 150 fields and 15 indexes. IMHO 15 indexes is not excessive.

Any input is appreciated!

Thanks!
