I have a Visual Foxpro 6.0 system that installs on the users local drive that has a compatibility problem with Outlook 98's Calendar. This VFP system does not in any way have any hooks into Outlook at all. In fact, I don't even have Outlook 98 and I developed this system. The user says that since installing the VFP system, their bullets in the Format Paragraph area of Outlook 98's Calendar program don't work as they used to.
I'm kind of baffled why installing a VFP system would affect Outlook 98. The only thing that I can remotely think of is the use of either my ActiveX Calendar 8.0 control, or Windows Installer. I have date fields that allow the users to display the MSCAL.OCX Calendar, and the installation process is handled by Windows Installer. I'm guessing that something like a DLL got installed that was a newer version. The only DLL's I install is the VFP6R.DLL and VFP6RENU.DLL and RoboHelp's ROBOEX32.DLL. None of these should have an impact on other programs as far as I know.
Does anyone have any idea how this could have happened?
