If you tell a customer you can create an internet site, but only users with IE 4.0/5.0 browsers can view the pages, the customer probably won't hire you.

If he is willing to pay for the development of a site that is enhanced for IE browsers, go for it. Most companies want a site that looks the same or similar in all browsers.
