With using ADO I am able to update records in a recordset object with optimistic locking. If two or more users update the record at the same time an error code is returned that allows me to detect the problem. Is there a way of updating a record with SQL Servers stored procedures where I will get a similar type of error message back that lets me know that the record has all ready been updated? If there is a way how is it done? How is the record retrieved?
