The SQL-select tries to guess the widths of the fields in the resulting
cursor from the data in first... well, dozen records. It may guess
wrong, and it does so quite often. The tricks for formatting:
strings: padr(whatever,
) as the_name
numbers: 000000000000.00 + expression as the_name
This way SQL is given sufficient info as of the size and format of the
field. Happened quite often that the roundoff errors occurred where
simple sum() was involved, just because first (twenty?) records had
integers in the field.
