This makes absolutely zero sense??? Talk about obfuscated logic. What is the purpose of using the combo box then? What is the purpose of having a displayvalue with no associated value.

Get somebody up here to support your point of view and a logical reason as to why you would do this, and I will entertain a discussion on this.
