You can order your table and group your report by 1) Name 2)Category, i.e. you will have two levels of grouping and corresponidgly two group footers and headers. Now you may add 'amount' field to both 'category' and 'name' footer. Then double-click on the field and select 'Calculations'. In next dialog, set option 'Sum' and reset='Name' for name footer, and 'Category' for category footer.
