Yes, there are cases where you want to manually want to populate a combobox. AS you know when a combobox lists more than a few hundred items form a lookuptable bound with the rowsource, it will be getting very slow when refreshing. Manually adding values do not have this problem as much.

Now i can hear you asking: Why do you want to use more than a few hundred items in a grid? In general its very difficult to pick out one out of a few hundred items within a combo.

In my applications I use autocomplete comboboxes which makes it very easy to locate the item you want to select, so the number of items is not a big problem anymore IF your items are sorten in an alphabetical order.

To both you and Ed, please stop this foolish show.....................
