When programmatically selecting a list item in a listbox [i.e. .Selected(i) = .T.] :

1) If the form that the listbox resides is shown for the first time from being hidden, the selected listbox item will have a segmented rectangle surrounding it and is not technically selected (highlighted). If I programmatically select it again it will then be selected. How can I make it work the first time?

2) If I scroll that listbox the selected item(s) will become unselected. However, if I mouse click to select a list item (or Ctrl+Click to select multiple items) in a listbox, scrolling will not negate the selections, as it should be. Can anyone explain this and can it be corrected?
