>no.. I thought it fixed it... its only when you modify the one program... so I just closed foxpro and re-opened it when I changed that program.. now that program is finished (short of any unfound problems) so it seems fine, I can deal with loading and unloading foxpro a couple times.

You can try CLEAR PROGRAM to cause VFP to release the program from memory.
