I'm thinking that what you want to do might be too much for the DTS designer embedded into the Server Enterprise Manager. DTS is a COM object model that you can programmically access. You might want to attack your problem that way. SQL Server mag. has had a lot of really good DTS articles in the recent past (say 6 months). You'd get a big start by going back to those issues.
