Dear Tim:

I have been wrestling with this specific printer with a client of mine.
First, be sure you have installed the latest service pack of FoxPro.
Second, this is a high speed printer and the only way it will print fast is if you use their printer driver downloaded off their web site.
Third, if you use their printer drivers do not try to have their workstation Win95/98 printer driver call their NT printer driver on the server, you will have intermittent problems. Have it print to a spare Win95/98 workstation with the matching printer driver.
Fourth, be on the lookout for lines being dropped off the bottom of the report. We put dots in a dummy footer section to avoid this.
Fifth, be sure to bind their printer driver into all reports and labels.
The spacing problem should be resolved if you use their print driver.

Hope this helps

>I have been printing VFP 5.0 reports to a dot matrix printer (Output Technology 4100 Printer) using a Text Only driver. As soon as I upgraded to VFP 6.0 I started having problems with my reports. The main problem is that sometimes the columns do not line up. It seems to happen most when I have a field that is numeric and I tell it to not print if the value is zero. The column will then move over and keep printing off for the rest of the coulmns in that line. I contacted Output Technology and they said they had notified Microsoft about a proportional spacing problem with excel and access but have had no solutions yet. Anybody else run into this problem or know a solution for it?

Prayer of St Ephrem:
O Lord and Master of My Life,
Take from me the spirit of sloth, meddling, ambition and vain talk.
But give me a spirit of prudence, humility, patience and love.
Yes Lord and King grant me to see my own sins and faults
and not judge my brother.
For You are Blessed Forever and Ever. Amen.
