Here's even more wacky stuff:
There was a news report recently that some Canadian oil companies are currently negotiating with US farmers to pay them to NOT plant crops. Apparently (I didn't know this) plowing 1 acre of land releases 5 tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. They could then use the credits to produce CO2 elsewhere.
I got a laugh at the protesters in Seattle. An un-democratic group trying to force more non-democracy on everyone. There were the usual suspects from Canada, mostly people who would never, ever consider placing their views or themselves before the electorates of the world.
Forget global warming, we need to worry about the NGO's in the world! Now there's a lot of hot air!
I totally agree with your point on volcanoes. Cap one good volcano and you've solved the carbon dioxide issue.
>If more people would do their own thinking instead of allowing the media or gov't do it for us, we would all be better off. One good volcanic eruption puts more "greenhouse" gases in the atmosphere than man has ever produced. I remember the environmentalists in the late 60s and early 70s predicting the doom of an impending ice age. Now its warming. Whatever floats your agenda rules the day.
