1) create a secondary object in addition to 'Text1' for the column and code a DynamicCurrentControl with Sparse = .F. for the column -- you can put anything you want there.

2) if you change the color of the grid lines to the background color of the form and have the 0 width columns at the extreme left or extreme right, only looks like a thicker border ( also shrink gridlines to single pixel ).

3) make foreground and background colors for objects in column RGB(255,255,255) or white, need to change all the color pairs selected, disabled, etc. then put them back.

4) You could have n grids where each has a column ( or columns missing ) and only show the one you want.

Just some other thoughts about hiding stuff in a grid.
