From a user perspective, there are way's to start complicated procedures, without getting prompted that you are about to start an important process. GP allows you a programmer to add VB code to the forms. So you could reduce the chance of errors. But the company I worked for was too cheap to buy the necessary licenses to get at the code.

I had to create an import process for EDI transactions. It was difficult to do, because there's GP doesn't support transaction import, so I had to figure out a lot of stuff by myself.
