I understand that you ar3e trying to prevent changing many lines of code, but the code is poorly designed and if you don't fix it now you will eventually have to fix it as it will, at some time, completely fail to work. It will never get any easier to fix it, it will only get harder.

Next year it will be even more lines of code to fix and the year after that even more and on and on and on.

From your description of the situation, you have multiple prgs that have procedures in them that share the same name. This si a major design problem as you must always remain completely aware of the order in which Fox searches for a procedure or get the problem you have now.

I would predict that the time it will take you to fix this problem is not much more than the time it would take you to move these procedures into class definitions and eliminate the problem completely instead of fixing it with a bandaid.
