>I see what you are saying, let me play devil's advocate with you a bit. Pretend I am using your accounts and onwers forms the way you described. Then my phone rings and it is one of the owners telling me that they want to change their phone number. I would like to bring up another instance of the owner's form so I can make the change right now without losing the relationship between the accounts form and the other owners form.

Hi, Jim. I finally got to see Episode One tonight (on the big screen). Jar Jar was fun.

The phone ringing is actually the key to my approach. The user's that are under the most time pressure are the reservation clerks that are talking to owners on the phone. But they only talk to one at a time. So everything starts with an owner. They they usually pick an account next and then look for a reservation or make a new one. By this point they have a set of related screens though only one is visible at a time. (The others are all live and are hidden only because the active form is in front.) The user can then bounce around between then quite quickly. I use a set of buttons on the lower-right side of each screen for this but if I did it over I'd probably use a page-frame with tabs on the right. This was my first VFP project and the added complexity of business object within form within page frame scared me off at first.

>A form that must be 800X600 could probably use a pageframe to simplify the UI. The apgeframe, if used well, would allow that form to be smaller and would allow a user to call two owners and compare them.

I can't visualize two customer pages within the same pageframe.

>Or to work on one owner but respond top telephone inquiry from a different owner, or to have multiple account forms open looking at multiple accounts of the same owner, etc

All the main forms have a notes fields which takes up a good bid of room. (Squashed on the Owners form because I also display a Person (husband or wife), and an address or a phone number list or an email list.

As I said to Al, I was hard pressed to put these in a 500 x 800 space (there is a constant sub-form at the top of the screen). I still can't imagine how I could make them small enought to where I could usefully display two of them.
