Yes, look into Codebook, Visual FoxExpress and the Mere Mortals Framework. The 2 latter are based on Codebook, altough they went their own way. They all use a trick to allow you develop locally and scale up to client server after: in your settings you define if you work with local or remote data. Based on that and a writing convention (local views named as lv_something, remote views named as rv_something) you can flip between local and remote data easily.
