For automation I like to use DocVariables in Word 97 to bring some data from VFP 6.0 to a Word document. This works fine but if I insert the DocVariable in a header (or footer) (not due ole but the normal way) the variable does not appear or I get a fatal error.

Does anyone know if this is a known bug and if there is a patch for it. I can't find information on the microsoft-site. It works correctly with Word 2000 but my customer still uses Word 97.
