Another .02 worth:

We have used PCInstall for a long time in the distribution of our products.
When we upgraded to Visual Studio 6.0, It comes with InstallShield for C++ v6.0
and a subset of InstallShield for Visual FoxPro. We have packaged several programs using the FoxPro subset, and if one is careful, it will do a pretty good job of doing an install.

But since we have added several commercially market applications, we went ahead
and purchased the Full version of InstallShield, and DemoShield. This mainly was to do some really nice multi-media install screens, and video tutorials.
it seems, that while somewhat intricate (requires at least some familiarity with C coding) It will produce an install that is outstanding as far as eye candy is concerned.

Once you produce your script file, it is re-usable over and over again to handle any patches and updates you may distribute as well.

>>I'd chuck Wise into the ring too. It handles VFP stuff really nicely. I'm using installbuilder with great results. I haven't played with their new versions yet (v8 or their windows installer version), but if version 7 is anything to go by, they'll be great too.

Relax, Boss. We will meet the deadline! What? You want to add MORE? What do you mean, Over Budget?
