It never changes the form or another other object on a form except for this one container. I need to have this container NOT changed in it's display just because I am playing a wav file. Any ideas as to why ??CHR(7) is disrupting this display?

Maybe overkill but Tego makes an ocx called tegowave that can do a lot with wav files, including play them.
