>Hi,
>I have a client that is experiencing a wierd problem. They have SBT accounting (which is written in FPW 2.6). At random times when they double click on the icon, FoxPro loads, and then it they get a FoxPro scrolling wait window that says "Retrying file access... Please wait." This happens on the first table that is opened by the system. When I looked at the system console I noticed that it had the .DBF and .FPT open, but not the .CDX. I've rebuilt the .CDX by completely removing it and redoing the indexes, but that didn't seem to help. I am wondering if anyone here has any experience with this sort of problem. It appears to be more of a Novell issue, but I thought I'd check here as well.

I dont think it is a network issue..
1)Check to make sure that everyone is using the same config.fpw (normally in the SBT startup directory)
2)SBT config.fpw has a default configuration of INDEX=NDX, I suggest you change it to IDX (or remove that line altogether)
3)Check for duplicate index names. You may have an application that is creating or using an index file that is conflicting with another index file (i.e. you have index.CDX AND index.IDX)
