That's what I've heard (or read) from a lot of sources. It's just that there's no guarantee what will result in SetFocus inside a Valid. If that is the rule, why is it that there are cases it worked.

I've changed my code into Thisform.grdMember.SetFocus and it worked. Even without the first ActivateCell code.
