If you're dead set on making Browse act like a read object, you'll probably have to revisit that pain you mention in FPW2.6. Or are you just venting that Microsoft never "fixed" the browse? Here's a nod to Drew Speedie's articles in Foxpro Advisor (waaaaay back in Sept & Oct 1994!!!) which saved my proverbial bacon on this very topic.
