An approach that wasn't touched on here, which I prefer, that you may want to consider is the following. I put a commandbutton in the grid column with .Caption='Notes...' and the .Click Event calls a form class passing the field name of the memo. The form class contains an editbox, which displays the memo field passed for editing, and two command buttons for Ok and Cancel.
