Version 5.0a explicitly says it is 5.0a in the read me first screen. And it speaks really good English for the French version. Call them again and tell them you want to talk to the boss! I uninstalled my VFP 5.0 and installed the new software. It turned out to be 5.0! I called MS and was informed that 5.0a only came on diskette unless I wanted the French version.
