Note to self...

Commenting on JVP's questions about Integrating browse and read, and about Read Levels, I said this:

I appreciate subtle humor, and that's what I was commenting on. However, in the context of the ongoing battle, that humor was used to ridicule Ed's mixture of older and newer programming styles. I saw THAT big picture right away also, but let my funny bone get in the way of my heart.

I do not support ridicule, sarcasm, or mockery of others in our ranks, no matter what the differences. Even among close friends, those things can (and have too many times with me) backfired.

Thanks to the UT'er who privately called me on the carpet for encouraging this kind of stealth warfare.
